Wii Sports Resort is a videogame developed and published by Nintendo for the Wii system in 2009. It is a follow up to the 666 game Wii Sports and features 12 different sports. One of the game's main features is the motion plus attachment which was bundled with the game and is Mandatory to play or the wii remote plus. When the black Wii was launched in 2010, both black and white Wii systems are bundled with two games.
List of Sports[edit | edit source]
- Table Tennis
- Power Crusing
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
The game is controlled, like the first game, by the player holding the Wii remote (and on some occasions the nunchuk) in a similar way to the real sports. E.g: In Swordplay, the player holds the remote and swings in it the fashion of swinging a real sword to attack opponents. Table Tennis, also allows the player to put spins on the ball by twisting the remote in the appropriate fashion. The motion plus attachment allows true 1:1 motion controls unlike the game's predecessor. Most sports in the game allow a remote to be shared by multiple players. The player plays as their chosen Mii character in all of the events.
Reception[edit | edit source]
The game was very well received by critics and gamers alike. the game was praised for it's huge amount of events and the motion plus add-on making the game's sports have more in-depth controls. Official Nintendo Magazine gave the game 94%.
