2016 Wuhu Island Attacks[]
The 2016 Wuhu Island Attacks were a series of attacks that took place on August 02, 2016, all beginning with an explosion at the home of government and defense council, Summerstone Castle. These attacks lasted from August 2, 2016 until August 04, 2016. It was a series of bombings and organized hostage situations that had put Wuhu Island in a weak position, similar to the 2003 Lorocia Attacks.
First Attack, August 2, 2016[]
The first attack, involving extremists, was at Summerstone Castle. In fact, a tour guide was giving a tour of Summerstone, when it was reported at 11:44 in the morning that one by one, explosions destroyed the North Tower, the West Tower, the East Tower, then the South Tower.
"I was giving a tour, and just couldn't believe my eyes, I stuttered to the people on the plane as I tried to turn away while capturing an image, in fact smoke was already rising from tower to tower as I loaded the lens." - Daniel Morrison, tour guide.
The first attack had been noted by many journalists, and taken to the naval base about an hour later. After that attack, there was silence.By at least noon, no activity was reported until 12:02, when multiple explosions took place at the Red Iron Bridge. The Red Iron Bridge was at its busiest for "lunch hour" when three bombs extended across the entire bridge, ultimately destroying it.
